SCULPTURAL MASKS

Basqo Bim is a New Orleans-based contemporary mask artist creating sculptural masks, installations, and collaborative works. These projects span gallery exhibitions, public installations, and commissioned pieces.

These sculptural masks function as hybrid reliquaries - objects that exist between character, adornment and the collapse of the form. Built from textiles, found materials, and ornamental excess, they explore the body as both vessel and failure, where accumulation overtakes structure.
